The main Yango Pay case shows only part of the work. Here I have collected more material: Framer and Play prototypes, iPhone recordings and a landing page. These helped test product behaviour and demonstrate it before a production build existed.
Framer came first
Before native prototyping in Play, I often built detailed interactive Framer prototypes and opened them in the iPhone browser. For Yango Pay, the prototype included both the app and the landing page. We could check core in-product journeys and how we explained the product externally.
Framer offered a quick path from interface design to interaction on a real device. Later, I began using Play for closer reproduction of mobile behaviour and detailed interaction testing.
A native prototype and a transfer with GIPHY
In Play, I built a prototype that closely reproduced the mobile app’s behaviour. An iPhone recording survives from my time as a Yango product designer in Dubai.
One scenario was sending money with a GIPHY animation in the message. Alongside emoji and AI-created images, we explored these attachments as a way to make transfers more personal and expressive. This is a researched scenario; the prototype alone does not mean the feature shipped.
Landing page
I designed a separate page to present Yango Pay’s main capabilities and help new users understand how to begin. This addition preserves screens and recordings from four posts in my Contra portfolio.
These materials show research into app behaviour and its external presentation. The GIPHY transfer scenario, prototypes and iPhone recording are not proof that every feature was released. My role was product design and prototyping while working at Yango.
