Someone visiting a child psychologist’s website may already be tired. They may not want to meet our animation, assess the technology stack or defeat the menu. They need to understand whom they are contacting and how to take the next step.

For Maria Bulgakova’s website in Dubai, I worked with that sequence: information about the specialist, areas of work, a clear explanation and contact. The page needs a calm tone. This involves copy, rhythm, typography and navigation at the same time.

The “Psychologist’s website — first screen” view preserves the project’s real material and design.

The page can be read without launching an application

The project began with TanStack and React. The website now runs on Astro with EmDash. The server side is on Cloudflare Workers, data in D1 and media in R2.

An ordinary visitor receives ready HTML without needing to run JavaScript to read. It is a practical choice: the main content should not wait for the browser to execute an application. The editor’s interactivity has its own life and does not have to move onto every parent’s phone.

English, Russian and Arabic are full page versions. Arabic requires checking more than words: interface direction, element order, wrapping and the interaction of two writing systems in a single line.

The “Psychologist’s website — internal section” view preserves the project’s real material and design.

Technology does not provide a specialist’s biography

In projects like this, asking AI to “make it more convincing” is especially tempting. It can do that. Along the way it can add education, a method, experience or a promised outcome that nobody has confirmed.

Information about the specialist and their work needs an approved source. When information is missing, the gap remains an editorial task. A smooth paragraph is not grounds for a medical claim.

I like that a good result here is almost invisible. Someone reads, finds what they need and understands the next action. Nothing shouts from the corner of the screen that the website was built with advanced capabilities.

In the current version, structure and editorial content help visitors learn about the specialist and get in touch. The early TanStack prototype is kept separately. In a project like this, I take the medical biography, services and qualifications from approved material rather than filling them in with AI.
