The kids are back at school, and summer is officially over. We’re back to early mornings, lunchboxes, school runs, homework, activities — and the everyday logistics of family life with three kids in Dubai
Konstantin, as usual, is refusing to cooperate with the family photo, and Sanya clearly didn’t get enough sleep either — this was around 7:20 in the morning
Yesterday, August 31, the kids started a new school year
Summer is over, and we’re back to our usual family routine: early mornings, lunchboxes, school runs, homework, after-school activities — and all the logistics that come with having three kids.
It’s surprising how quickly you get out of that routine over the summer. The first few days are always a little hectic as we figure out the schedule again: who needs to be up when, who needs to be where, and how to make the whole thing work as one reasonably normal day.
But I actually like this moment when the usual rhythm returns. After the summer break, life feels a little more structured again. You can sense the same thing happening across Dubai too — the city gradually gets back into gear after summer.
The photo is from our first day back at Raffles World Academy, with the whole family together
